Title: echo cs370 throttle rod hook-up

I removed the carb on my echo CS-370 to clean and now can figure out how to reconnect the throttle rod to the carb and trigger.  There is a partition that has the kill switch and bulb on it, does the rod pass through the hole in the partition.  I tried to find a schematic on line and by calling Echo, no luck either place.  Hope someone can help.

I dont know this saw but here is IPL. You need to know your serial number it looks like.

I don't have a lot of experience with parts lists, but am I correct in assuming the were the throttle rod is shown that it would connect to the right side of the carburator?  This is a link to the parts list for my saw CS -370 sn 0891100xxxx.

It looks like both the throttle and choke levers are on the right side of the carburetor.

The needle valves are on the left close to the starter pull handle.

Thanks how if I can figure out how the rod attaches to the trigger, maybe I can get this saw back together.  Does anyone have a shop manual?

I've been in your shoes with several chainsaws. Some are not the most logical devices in existence.

I've had to get away from distractions and study them some and then try them out to see if they work.

I have a Dolmar 111i that has been apart several times and I have to re-figure the throttle out every time. I have the shop manual but it lacks detail on the throttle rod.

Actually nothing to it but the rod's certainly not logical until you study it.

Should have taken a picture bfore I took it apart, but I will keep at it.  I like when I finally figure it out or at least have someone lead me in the right direction.

No logic on this Echo either.  I have the saw back together and all functios seem to work, but I have not tried to start it.  I was convinced that the triggger end hooked somewhere on the trigger, but it seeems to work just fine on the front side of the trigger. Now I am conserned that the fiel lines are shot,so I will figure out what size they are and replace.  There is a line that comes out of the top of the carburetor and exits on the under side of the saw.  What is its function? It has a filter on the end.  My originoral problem was that the saw would start, but die on full throttle.  This site has helped a great deal,

If it come out of the steel cover that is on one side of the carburetor, maybe it is the vent for the metering valve diaphragm?

I've never seen one of these saws and have no clue about the specific saw?

Edit:  I was studying the IPL. Looks like you are talking about the tank vent. It does not show anything fastened to the metering valve cover.

The other connections are the fuel line and the impulse hose which you should be replacing.
