Title: dolmar PS6000i revs on side
Post by: bungalow on November 01, 2013, 12:44:20 pm
Hi all,
When I put my Dolmar PS6000i on the clutch side it idles more, wich could indicate an air leak at the seals. but would that be the clutch side- or flywheel side seal?

thx

OK, so the flywheel side I presume... I'm trying to figure the cause of that; is there less pressure on the seal in that position?

Doesn't really matter why.  Figuring it out just for curiosity's sake is fine however.

Seals do weird things sometimes.  If it's leaking on one side, I do both seals if at all possible.  Both are the same age.  Rubber parts have a finite life...

Absolutely!  Do both seals cheap insurance.
