Title: Husqvarna 362XP
Post by: KilliansRedLeo on December 12, 2013, 10:53:15 am
I have a user/collector customer that I have built three saws for. A 262XP, 272XP and a 372XP. She is now looking to have me build/restore a 362XP to round out her collection.

So, I am looking for a nice clean small mount 362XP complete or not. I have a new OEM P/C for it already.

So if anyone has or knows of one please send me a PM. I know that the 262 she already has will out run the 362 but that it what she wants.

I have a nice 362 and there is nothing wrong about the way it runs. IMHO, the 362 is a little heavier and physically larger than the 262 but the power is close. As has been said many times, the forte of the 362 was fuel economy over the 365 Special & 372XP which are all in the same case except for the small mount on most of the 362's.

660Magnum, you want to part with it?

Oh No. That saw was made up from accumulated parts searches to be authentic. There's a lot of labor of love involved. It is a nice looking example. To use it, it feels like using one of my 372's. It is not ported or modified.

looking for early small mount or later large mount ones?

I'd take the 362xp power wise and in cut over the 262xp myself.  Owned both.

small mount one I built from 2 bare crankcase halves.

Watch out collecting never ends.

When I started a search for a 362xp I had just one saw in mind.
Ended up buying both the old and new edition 362's and the Jonsered 2163.

Still would like to find a 362xpg. :)
