I could do saw pics, peoples shop info etc beside certain boards. Do you guys want to see more saws etc by the boards.
I put a husky saw up by the husky board. I can make them way bigger but it makes the boards space way huge IMO. I want to keep them the original size of the boards.
-
Would the saw pic only be there when there are new posts or would it be there all the time? I like the current indication 'new' when there are new posts, if we were to lose that, then I would vote 'no'. Also having a picture of a Husqvarna saw as well as 'Husqvarna' as the board title is redundant.
-
All you have to do to see new is hold your mouse arrow over saw and it will tell if new post or not.
Yeah I guess it is redundant LOL . Just something I figured out today messing around.
If I were like another big pants site you could put ads there like they do taking up a big chunk of space. But I am totally against that and cant stand that crap like that.

I will try that on a PC running Windows, I'm sure that it will work. However I am currently on a touch screen Android 4.1 tablet, where it does not work, nor does it work on my wife's smart phone.
-
The biggest problem with sites that are open to the public is that you have to 'dumb down' everything so it works with the oldest, oddest crap on the planet in order so that the site provides value to anyone that comes across it.

I moved the poulan bowsaw and the husky to 2 different boards so their not in the chainsaw section. That way they can still be tested out and see.
I dont use smart phones. So I have no clue on that stuff.

Yes the no new messages does work when on a Windows machine! However it appears that when you hover your mouse over the picture or the old indicator either way the mouse-over comment shows up. So to me it is obvious that the Creafteforum software was designed with Internet Explorer as its target browser. That others work is a credit to the creators of the other browsers being able to mimic IE!
-
It all seems to work for me.
I mostly use Fire Fox but sometimes Chromium. The site seems to render the same with either.
I run Unix.
-
I'm thinking now to leave the CHAINSAW boards alone. Like Tim said redundant
But maybe have pics beside other boards? Like welding add a little welding pic etc? Whatcha think on that idea.
-
sounds good

I think the pics besides the chainsaw boards is a good idea. It my be redundant, but it looks cool. May be like once a Month or so change the pics to another model. Or some members saws. Kind of like a show case for saws. I know a lot of guys on here have some really nice looking older saw. Just a thought.

sounds good
+1, I'm with 660

JM I dont think you realize how much time it takes for me to just copy, save, re-size, re-save and then upload each pic. So I wouldnt be doing it over and over sorry.
-
That's cool that is why it was just a idea. And you are right I don't know how long it takes to do all that. I know just enough computer stuff to get in trouble.
-
JM, all you really have to know about a computer is that electricity is either on or off. All the rest is the doing of a human being! That is the ultimate source of most computer problems.

Tim, to this day still get confused with the new labeling of on/off switches.
"|" or "O" ???? admit to having to get the voltmeter out to figure this out more than once, to troubleshoot!
