Post by: Infinitive on January 25, 2014, 10:00:57 am
I have a Craftsman/mtd saw 316.350840 I can not find the oil pump asy 9228-310208 or updated version MC-301912-00 , the plastic gear has worn it self off and wont throw oil, I am not sure if there is a replacment that would work or? Thanks in advance

I believe that is about the best you are going to be able to do.
I believe that is the saw the government made Sears stop selling due to it failing BS EPA regulations.

EPA most likely shut down importation of the parts also to get them out of use as soon as possible.

When I went back, they now say sold out!
I hope you got that last one!

If not, that gear MIGHT be the same as what Poulan used.
I'd certainly try to match it up if the rest of the saw runs good.
