Title: Stihl 041AV
Post by: brettl on February 02, 2014, 06:07:45 am
I picked this one up cheap as a project saw since the compression is so low. It is NOT the Super. If it needs a cylinder, will the Super cylinder and piston bolt on? Thanks

Yes, but you'll need the studs/locknuts for mounting the Super cylinder.
Finding a new top end kit for the Super may be tough.

Carb, intake, and muffler are different for higher flow rates, but the
standard parts can be reused.

Well, it's been a while but I'll finally be taking this one apart. Assuming I have to replace the top end, are the 1110 series the only interchangeable top ends? No chance on the 1111 051? Thanks
