Got a question for you folks in the know. Guy is looking for a poulan 6900 piston. I dont even know what the piston specs are on these but guessing a poulan 7700 piston will work too.
Well then some guy into older poulans says to put a stihl piston in it. But dont have a clue which one. ??? I never heard of a stihl piston for a 6900 7700. Any of you guys know or have the specs for a 6900 piston?

A 7700 piston will not work. The 6900 is the last evolution of the 69cc 4200. The 7700 is the last version of the 77cc 4900. the 8500 is the last evolution of the 85cc 5200. Three different bore sizes.
The 4200/6900 piston is what he needs. It's still available from Poulan. 530022125

It appears to be backordered at the Ordertree site. I suggest he gets on NOW from Ordertree or whatever other Poulan parts outlet he can get one from.
He's not going to get a Stihl piston cheaper than that 4200/6900 Poulan piston (as long as the Poulan piston is in fact still available).

Thanks for correcting me then.
Here is where I read 6900 7700 were same. I had no clue.
6900 and 7700 share the same piston.

Pased on the info. Thanks......................................................

What is the pin size on the 52mm piston?

Don't know why I didn't see this question before. I'll measure the pin on a parts carcass the next time I'm in the shop. I have both 4200 and 5200 parts saws. Can't remember if the pins are the same for the three bore sizes. The IPL's don't list the pins separately (just as a 'set' with the piston).

Guy selling a poulan 6900 = Rough rough rough

Couple more pics. Says runs but needs rear handle, recoil and who knows what else.

That thing is a basket case.

Yeah that's pretty whipped. I'd still be interested in it for parts though. Kevin can ya send me the info if it's still available?

come on now. A little JB weld and a little mag welding and some paint and you have a ebay saw there.

Aaron, I'll see if I can find it again and if still FS.
