The Overton County Woodcutting Festival will be held July 23 at 7:00pm at the Overton County Fair Grounds 526 Montery Highway in Livingston Tennessee. The contest will be held in the mule ring during the fair.The classes are :
Stock appearing
0-3ci
0-4ci
0-5ci
0-6ci
over 6ci
Hotsaw
Also there will be mens and womens axe throw
Prize money in all classes are as follows:
1st $135.00
2nd $85.00
3rd $60.00
4th $35.00
5th $20.00
These classes run any fuel. All saw classes will be cold start except the giveaway saw.
There will also be axe throw for men and women and the prize money will the same as listed above. Plus there will be a give away saw class. Wood will be poplar. In the 0-3 and 0-4 class the saws will be run on 8x8. O-5 and up will be run on 10x10 . For futher infomation contact Steve Winstead at 931-273-6555 or Jay Coffman at 931-319-5480.

Out of the events I got to go to in my short time this was one of my favorite ones. Liked all those chainsaw classes, race after race.
If you messed up on one class you had a bunch more classes to make up for it in.

Yea jay and i work hard on this show to try and make it as good as can be. We hope all that can will cone out and watch or compete ;D Everybody from everywhere is welcome to come ;)

It's a evening race. Started at 7pm and goes close to midnight I bet. I was told they had 2 outdoor A/C units like the NFL uses to keep people cool with.

Congratulations Jay in another hotsaw win. Helps make up a little for the 3ci and 4ci miscues I heard about. Hard to start that 3ci cold start when the rope breaks loose from the recoil.
Congratulations to Jody on his wins with his 3ci and 4ci.
See my old 166 and 5000 pulled a couple of 4th.

In the overton county and adjoining classes it was 2 cuts with the saw on the ground running and hands on the wood. In the 0-5 class i think it was 8x8. In the over 5 it was 10x10
