Title: 576XT non-AT
Post by: KilliansRedLeo on March 14, 2014, 09:53:49 am
Putting a new top end on one of these. Just wondering if anyone has used any additional sealer between the cylinder intake flange and the intake manifold. It occurred to me that the only thing forming a seal between the jug and the intake were those three o-rings. The WM does not mention any sealer is required.

Found the answer in a later version of the WM. Husqvarna says to coat the manifold mating surface O-rings with a small amount of grease. They however do not give a torque spec for the three screws only say 'tighten'.

You would sort of think there would be something more descriptive in the manually,  wouldn't you?  ???

Yes, I would, and I would also expect that it would be in all the manuals and not have to find the information in a manual that is not for the saw you are working on!
