Is it the OE original edition or the NE new Edition? They are different. IIRC the OE version does not have a primer bulb. These are good quality after market parts:

It must be NE, because it has a primer bulb. would this be what I'm looking for?

Looks like the right one to me for the NE replacement.

The old one had a decomp valve, But I never use it. Won't matte4r to me if this doesn't have a port for it.

I could swear I see a decomp place on aftermarket cylinder.  Just reuse yours or $2 plug.  http://www.hlsproparts.com/Decompression-plug-for-chainsaw-cut-off-saw-p/t635701.htm

Dont forget to get 10% off your order by using the code word for this site at check out.  chainsaw    ;)

It is best to not use it - a plug to replace it is listed in the IPLs.

Aftermarket usually means lower quality, a higher possibility for issues, and not as good porting as OEM - meaning less Power. Do you know that this isn't the case with that one?

You might be able to clean up the oem cylinder and just have to buy a new piston and ring.

Yes, clean up to original cylinder and use a new meteor piston if possible. Best bang for the buck!!!

If the cylinder is shot, I personally would go with a OEM top end. They can be bought for under $200.

Please tell me where you are finding an OEM top end for under $200. Best I have found so far is $300.

I don't know about under 200, but I would ask Spike60. He is a member here.  ;D

Last time I priced OEM p+c 346 kits it was May 2013. So I would guess prices might be higher a year later.

NE 346 was $200

OE 346 was $150

Sounds like the best plan. :)

If you have the means, doing a vac and pressure test after fitting the new cylinder would help rule out any air leaks.

Only two things can be at fault, air leak or raw fuel.

Or an improperly tuned saw.  Too lean on the H side will do that kind of damage.  I've seen many folks tune a saw too lean to get it to 'clean up' and run at max revs unloaded at WOT...
