Title: 450 Rancher leaking gas when filling
Post by: JimNAZ on July 08, 2014, 07:39:21 pm
Hello,

This is a fairly new saw with only about a few hours of run time on it. Today after using for about an hour, I went to refill tank and it started leaking from the other side as I was pouring in. After some rearching it is suggested that it might be a tank vent or bad fuel line. I really do not want to start taking apart until I know for sure what I am doing. The manual really does not have a good diagram of how it is put together and I do not want to learn the hard way.
First, any other suggestions as to what might be causing the leak?
Second, anyone have steps/diagrams to help when (if) I take it apart?

Thanks
Jim

I think the vent comes out on the right side of the tank. Something is loose and leaking there?
