Have enough parts to begin project 158 Efco. Putting a 156 cyl on a 165 base. Will put me closer to the 60 cc limit at a small show in Sept.
-
Phew, thought it was a mistype or new model. Be sure to show us the pics and details. 8) ;)

Me Too! Looking forward to this as I have several 165's to play with.

Just did a quick fitup, 156 cyl on a 165 case with no gasket. Piston hits head at top of stroke. Will try a gasket tomorrow.
-
Thought I had some gaskets. Had to order some. New gaskets are .045 thick. Should roll over with a gasket.
-
Gaskets came in, with gasket she rolls over. Will measure the squish tomorrow.

156 cyl on 165 crankcase. Squish with gasket .020. Works for me. Stock or port, which way to go?
-
I would probably like to see how it runs stock. Then port it.
-
I would run her stock first to compare to the other stock efco saws in the same size range.
-
I have 2 cyl's, will run 1 stock and 1 ported.
-
It runs. I like.
-
Are the cylinders open or closed? Just thinking you were looking at a 60cc class and understand the build now.
Poulan has 60cc saws in open port that run right with 262xp stock for stock.
Made a new banner for your efco 7200 and for the echo guys. ;)

Every Efco cylinder I have been in are closed port. I think someone that knew what they were doing could make some fast Efcos. Wish there was a porter nearby.
