Nice truck. My neighbor has an 06 mega cab. He had a 97 and just couldn't fit the kids seats in comfortable.

Had to look up this mega cab thing.  Does  it really that much more room?

Yeah about 10" of leg room if I remember right.

Yeah about 10" of leg room if I remember right.

I don't know the measurements but yeah at least 10" by sitting in them. The back seats also recline.

Ava's feet hit my seat when she's in her car seat and that's with my seat about halfway up...I usually have it pretty much all the way back.

Also thinking about a 2010 Powerwagon, they are between my cab size and the Megacabs.

I have a 4th gen and the 5 year old has decent room left. She can kick the seat but doesn't get mashed by it.

Adam,  09 and up have a lot more room in the rear seat than the 3rd gen.  Not as much as the mega cab, but adequate to seat most...

I'm willing to let my 2007 with 300,000 on the clock go for $26,999. All stock except 100 hp chip, exhaust and custom smoke switch that goes off automatically when passing smug Toyota Prius drivers.

His transmission was probably $5-6k alone.

I would love to have one with a Eaton-fuller RTO6610 transmission. But I need one like more holes in my head. I only drive 5 or 6000 mi a year any more.

During my working stage of my life, I would drive some 25000/year.

Adam has averaged less than 12,000/yr with his Dodge/Cummins

I had one 30,000 mile year, the rest have been pretty easy years.

It's brought me to Nebraska 4 times, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, and up and down this dumb State with zero issues. If I could just make the cab bigger I would keep it and do that.

In 2010 we bought an 05 2wd with the Cummins for 15 grand which was a good deal then. At your prices I should at least get my money back and then some but have no intention of selling. It is a towing beast, doesn't know our 24' fiver is back there.

I like the idea of the Fuller 10 speed Road Ranger. Empty at the red light you can start out in 3rd gear. But with a load and in a soft dip, you could start out in 1st.

10th gear is the same as the 6 speed original transmission. 1st gear is 11% lower than first in a Getrag and there's a couple shifts to get up to the 2nd gear ratio in a Getrag.

Gear spacing is a 20% drop in rpm across all the gears in the Road Ranger. The shift throw distance is much shorter than the New Venture & Getrag 5 & 6 spds. But requires a air pump and tank to power the air cylinder that shifts from low to high range and back.

But a used rebuilt one is going to cost $2500

I've got a 99 D2500 ext cab.  Bought it to be my last truck probably will be unless somebody kills it.   Fuel pump went out fried inj pump So I did a little work to it.   Edge Jammer Stage 5 inj., Edge Attitude programmer, ATS Intake, AFE AF system, ATS ex manifold, MBRP turbo back 4" ex., Fluiddamper, FASS fuel pump, Blue Chip Diesel HP inj. pump, Flexlite 202 Electric fan, Amsoil bypass OF kit, Amsoil trans filter kit and more 151K in 2008 when I did the upgrade 158K now.  15K WOULDN'T buy it.  Weak link is trans that will be the next upgrade.  It's on it's last leg.  That will be a $3000-4000 I don't have @ this present time.  I'm a Ford man BUT this Dodge is best truck I've ever owned.  21mpg pullng 20' flat bed w/car on it @ 80-85mph.  27-31 around town.

2wd's don't hold their value at all, but yes even so you could get your money back plus a little if the mileage is okay.

There's an 01 3500 4x4 dually at a local lot for $19,000. I also have an 01 3500 4x4 dually and book on mine is over $14,000. I'm going to sell it also, thinking about $13,000 on it.

4.7 gasser gets about 11mpg pulling 9000lb, about 18 to 20 empty.

My parents are buying the red Dodge from me and the green one should sell soon so the search has started!

http://www.dchchryslerjeepdodgeoftemecula.com/new/Ram/2014-Ram-2500-temecula-d4f7c1410a0a00de177f04cd9278ae51.htm

I wanted to buy this one, says "FINAL PRICE" $34,779, so I expected around $37k OTD. Have cash and I'm ready to buy, I called them up yesterday to plan a trip down to get it and they inform me that the listed internet price doesn't include any extras and the actual price is $56,484...over $20,000 more then they have it listed for! After a few heated moments and emails to them they said they could knock $5,000 off, but that is still WAY to much for me. Between them and ATT sending me a $300 bill, yesterday wasn't very fun! lol

Little call to a newspaper or tv station will probably fix that.

Adam, what truck did you end up getting?

2011 Ram 2500 Laramie megacab with the 6.7 liter Cummins and 6 speed auto. I'll get pics this weekend, I've gotta put my Welds on first and hippo line the bed and rocker panels.

Cool!  Amazing how much quieter the 6.7 is compared to the 3rd gen. Common rail 5.9.   I've got 300,000+  on my 2007.5  Only issue was Turbo went at 100000 but after removing the EGR no more issues with the turbo loading up with soot. Just did all four ball joints, tie rod ends and front rotors brakes last month, Mine gets up to 21.5 on the freeway with the Smarty module on 100 hp setting,   a tad better on mileage setting.

What is the Hippo line all about?

The hippo is like husky liner, spray on bedliner. I'm going to do the bed and rockers. I did the rockers green on the dually and it looks great, I did the entire Expedition black with it, I'll send ya a pic tonight.
