looking for better than home owner quality round file style grinder.
A 510 silvey would be the cats meow if I could find a decent priced used one, but no such luck so far.
So what do you guys recommend for mainly 3/8ths chain?

I have a early 511A that I'm very pleased with. It had a worn out vice when I got it. I installed a new Tecomec vice and as far as I'm concerned it is a like brand new grinder.
The Chinese Timber Tuff, Northern Tool, & Ruff Neck grinders are copies of a 511A. They are pretty good for the home owner. At times you can find one of these on sale.

Foley 308 is very good grinder. Can be found pretty reasonable $150 or so.

I really like the stihl USG. Can be found used in the same range. 150-200. New cost is up there with silvey though.
