Where can I find specs on a 5000 plus? Are they good saws? comparable to what saws. I can pick one up pretty cheap in excellent shape.

One of the fastest cutting 50cc saws ever built.

It's a pioneer/partner 5000plus. It is the same as a partner 5000. This was one of partners contributions to the p/p collaboration by electrolux right before they eliminated both brands so it would be the latest version of that saw platform produced....I think.....electrolux may have released a pp325? later + I believe the jred 490? as well but I don't know when the production on these ended. Late 80's? Please anybody feel free to correct me...

Was my fav 49cc saw when I got into 3cubes. Cuts with NE 346, 5100 etc new stuff.
Lot of info here on them just search partner 5000.
I had tons of them and still hard copy service manual etc.
IMO $200 and down. $200 being like new to used abused $50.
$300 if like new in box saw. Had 490 heated handle like that.

There has been a nice one FS local 15mins away for $150. Little much for me as I am out of them now. But great buy for someone needing a 3ci saw IMO.

As a "work" saw, I suspect the AV of those saws aren't qute up to todays standards, but I don't really know?

Your right, the vibe mount where the fore handle joins the left side of the saw is a week point.
