Anyone tried one of the Hutzl or other Asia made fuel tank assemblies. Looking for a replacement for a 365 special

Might PM JJ, I know he has tried them with feedback.

Some are rather crude when you hold them in your hand.

Thanks guys. Probably better off spending the $120 on OEM tank!

Maybe a good used? http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/261682079987?lpid=82&chn=ps

Adam, I have tried a afm tank on a 361 stihl. Everything bolted up fine and it is still in service to the guy I sold the saw to. Still see the saw for service work about once a year or so. Not sure if it was Asian or where it came from.

I've used two of the 038 tanks so far and have no complaints. I know of a 660 tank that was fine as well. The chinese stuff seems to be improving.

I have 660, 361 and 260 tank handle assemblies here that I would put up against OEM in a heartbeat with the caveat that the MS260 tank vent is junk, they have a 100% failure rate on the dozen or so I have used/sold in the last 6 months, which is silly because they make a replacement vent that is great quality.
At this point I have a pretty decent overview of Aftermarket parts from a lot of vendors at least in regards to Stihl replacement parts.

The Huztl 365 tanks aren't bad, but the trigger and interlock pieces are not very good. I replace those with the used OEM parts from a smashed or broken tank. The Chinese mounts and throttle cables are junk. Replace the mounts with used or new OEM.

The first one I tried two years ago was virtually unusable. For a variety of reasons to include the wrong length antivib springs. The plastic was "blocky" and dimensionally incorrect. I was able to modify it to function. The ones I got this last year were a significant upgrade over those first ones, but still not OEM quality yet.
