Yours appears to use the later 034 036 cover underneath etc then the early 034 I had.

Thanks. Yours does have a side tensioner as opposed to mine having a front tensioner. Which cover are you referring to? I should've mentioned that nothing else in the pic belongs to this saw. Serial is 225946079 if that helps.

I am just guessing. But if you look at mine it appears it may have been a front tensioner in beginning see the opening in front like yours? Maybe side was just added later by someone.
I like side tensioners myself.

Me to, 1 of my 024s is side and the other is front. I like the side tensioners on my saws. Fronts are a PITA. I see what you mean on the underneath cover I think. Mine mate so they're flush along the edge and yours is recessed in a spot. I'll have to look up those part numbers to see what a 2 piece cover is. Do you have pics of that cover Kevin? Hard to se ipls on the dumbphone.

The one I had I never found correct crankcase cover or bar plate if I remember.
The newer cover is already on yours.

Oh, I misunderstood. Thought you were talking about the clutch cover ::) I was havin a hard time figuring how that could be. ??? ;D

LOL the newer cc cover shown in my pic on older style saw. How far they are off. bloodontheice explained it in thread in link.

I have the same thing I bought my saw 2001 from dealer and either it was old stock or someone replaced the clutch cover, because it was a first gen with second gen cover. My tank is white and my other 034 is clear. They are tough saws, was my favourite until 026 came into my life. My three saw plan was 011, 034/6, 064/66. Enjoy it none the less.
