Cut, any idea if those are cat mufflers? I know the little 142 I have came with one and wouldn't mind replacing it with non cat.

But...

No the older Mufflers are basically a two piece can that comes apart very easily, the baffles are not welded inside and it is very easy to remove them if you want.
I bought one off E-Bay and it is perfect.
The only issue I found is the bolts. So if you have the longer ones you are all set, I did not so I had to use the new shorter bolts, and washers.

Sorry, I just thought he might have seen one since he posted the link for those AM ones. But thanks for the info. I didn't really want to get into the catalytic crap in there which is why I thought for cheap I'd just buy a new one without it.  :) Empty can is what I was looking for.  I really like that little saw, was my first saw and it's so damn light!  8)

I havent a clue. But I wouldnt imagine aftermarket would make a cat muffler. 

I figured the afm was a 2 piece open muffler looking at the pic.

I bought one from E-Bay... Farmer Tech and it is not a CAT.. just a can.

DDave might have them?
