Lawn Mower Chainsaw
Home made chainsaw using a lawn mower engine and a 36inch chainsaw blade. Used with a chainsaw mill to slab large logs.

That was pretty wild. I would have liked to see more so the speed it was cutting could be determined.

Way I was looking at it. A chainsaw mill is slow too. Why tear up a high dollar chainsaw if you got a extra lawnmower motor laying around.

Even under heavy load a chainsaw will turn more than double the speed.

All I know is dad almost bought a used mill with a 10hp for entry level. We both just couldnt justify it with the logs he would pull off his and my land for projects.
I like the idea over using a chainsaw. Heck I just got a small mill in for chainsaw and sold it before using. Prefer to split 50/50 with the mill owner right now for logs cut to lumber.
