New to this forum:
I have a MW Powr Kraft 2.8 ci that I need parts for. I need parts for the recoil starter mechanism. Any help would be appreciated.

show us a picture of the whole saw my riding mower power kraft is a cast iron briggs my montgomery ward metal lathe is a logan. maybe your saw is better known by another name.

Your pictures arn't showing up but, Remington made saws back in the day for Wards. 2.8" is maybe an SL-9/10 type. 46 or 50 cc

A 2.8 will look very similar.

Remington and Remington Built Montgomery Wards. 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 4.6 Powr Kraft. SL-4, SL-5, PL-4, PL-5 and others.

Remington and Remington Built Montgomery Wards. 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 4.6 Powr Kraft. SL-4, SL-5, PL-4, PL-5 and others.
The SL-5 is the old Mall GP/Remington Logmaster design.

I have a Wards Power Kraft 2.8 like that. It's a rebadged Remington SL-9. Does indeed have a small Fairbanks-Morse friction starter. Smallest FM setup that I've seen. At least 25% smaller than the FM setups I've seen on old Homelites, Stihls, Monos, and others...
