Picked this saw up today at a dealer I try to frequent. It had been sitting on his floor since January of 05 so I made an offer. Tag said "needs coil and 75 psi comp". I found both to be true but the body is in such good shape I thought it was worth investigating. Found one line next to the exhaust port that stuck the rings. Score was very light so out came the rings and polished her up. This model has the boost port as did several partner saws.

I was hoping you was going to post a pic of the cylinder. Thats neat on a stock cylinder. I have never seen that on a oem cyl before. Only racesaws with external boost ports or internal finger ports.

As for the fire. I didn't have a coil with the same pole mounts so I pressed them out of the oe coil and swapped them into a Husky 55 coil. I always try to keep one or more of these around because they can be made to fit many saws.

Partner is the only saw I've ever seen one in. I'm use to seeing them in HD golf cart cylinders. This is a Mahle

You can see here the three transfer tunnels.

My best guess would be a straight gas after a couple tanks.

These are great quality saws. Gonna have to pick up some more :)

I have the other PP (Pioneer/Partner) version of that saw. Mine just needed a little TLC. It's not quite as nice as your's, but its close. I haven't had a chance to cut with it yet. It sounds like a mini-125 when you fire it up.
-
They do have a nice note to them. The exhaust does a good job of removing the chip pile at the end of every cut also.

Thanks Kevin! That's about the time when I last visited and competed with Ron, 1988.
