Title: Ms290 chain issue

I have a sthil ms290 from eBay and the chain Is oragon l81 won't fit the sprocket on the chain saw the sprocket is oragon 3/8-7 what would be the correct oragon sprocket ?

All 290 I have had in was .325.   

Oregon L81 = 325 063 81dl

Sounds like you have .325 chain  with 3/8 rim?

Whats is your bar  for and gage?

Got to match everything up.

Oregon bar pro-am 20" new bar came with l81 out of the box says l81 on bar 203sfgd025 9n combo 105671

The you have 325 b+c on a 3/8 rim?  Thats no go. Put you a 325 7 on there.

If You have the 34162 drum then all you would need is the rim. Oregon part number 11892. The rim that comes with the 34162 is 3/8 7 tooth.
