I hate to hear this.  Anyone know if Simington is still alive or are they done too?  All internet traffic redirects to Madsen's.

It has been awhile since I was in touch with Simington.   I do not know what is going on with them.

That sucks. I have an SDM-4 that I was going to send them to go thru for me.

The guys at Madsens really know their stuff with those square grinders. Just as good or better then the factory.  :)

They pretty much shut down over three years ago. I copied all those files back then.

At the time I had bought a earlier Silvey swing arm that had been a forgotten derelict for 30 years.

Silvey didn't have anything but wheels and dressers for it then. I went through the thing with all new bearings, springs, and fasteners I bought locally.

The swing arm is a simple device. The early Silvey and the first model Simington are identical in every way, motor and everything.

I've thought of it as my new grinder. Works great.
