I bought a echo qv8000 ser.no 003397 I am looking up parts it asks if its a type 1 or a type 1e and the ser. no. range is the same for both types how do I know what type I have ? I am going to put a regular bar and chain on it .

on the serial number tag if its a type 1e it will say it.  If not then its a type 1.
