Got a hand full of saws today. All parts or not working.
200t / 009 / screw cap 046 / 2-290 / 029 super / 025 / husky 350
Looks like some need just some basic stuff to get going. Some are just parts saws. And a whole lotta cleaning.

I havent come across a good deal on a bunch in a long time. To many locals out about.

Came from a landscaper buddy of mine. Not sure what to do with them all. To be honest I really did not want all of them just a 2. But he wanted them all gone. So here I am. The 200t and 009 are very nice looking. The other are nice to but he scratched some kind of id number in the plastics. Kind of disappointing as the 046 plastics are beautiful.
I am going to start on the 200t. I will post some pics along the way.

Pulled the screws out of the 200t muffler to see what was inside for a muffler mod. Not much in there I will just need to add another hole. Service manual says to use scotch weld on seam of the muffler as any exhaust leak will melt the plastic. I have search around to find some but can't seem to find any besides a whole case. What would you guys use to make sure there is a tight seal on the seam? Or just put the screws back in and run it.

Only thing a 200T muffler needed was the screen pulled out. JMO. Mine was a runner stock with just that and carb work rebuild and fine tunning.
-
You are correct. But I just had to know what the inside looked like. Think I will just screw the halves back together and run it.

There is a copper seal that you can get from the local auto parts store. You might try that.

I had pics saved somewhere. Finding them of the insides that I had found would be a different story though.

Cant find the inside muffler pics. But did come across the best stock running 200T I have ran to date.
This saw won racing gtg 40cc under Top Handle class 2 cuts 8x8 with semi chisel chain. Man if we would have had this PS PS3 stuff back then. ;)
Cant cutting she like around 14.7K if I remember right.
As soon as the gtg was over i had promised it to a UP MI tree guy. He said this saw ate his other 2 or 3 stock 200's.

Nice bunch of saws. Good score on that.

Definitely a decent lot of saws. If the 200t doesn't work out please PM me, mine is a good runner with ugly plastics on it. Same with the 046 if you don't decide to rebuild or use for anything! And if you do, enjoy! :)

I am thinking on keeping the 046 for parts. The 200t I am going to get running and see how I like it over my 201t. Then get rid of 1 of them. This was a first for me to get a bunch of saws like that for cheap. Glad it worked out because I was looking for some winter projects. Got the 200t tore down need to wash then I will post some pics.

I have a couple of 200's to work on let me know what you find. One is parts and the others have running issues but I haven't started them my self.
-
Thanks for the offer. All I could find was a leaking inlet needle. Piston has a small carbon score towards the bottom of the skirt. Other than that it looks great.

Got into the 009 needs carb/fuel delivery work. I also got into one of the 290s engine pan leaking on the pto side from the seal to the bar stud. Intake has ingested some dirt. Rings look great all except for on the intake side. Going to put a set of cabers in it.
