Stihl carbs are really dropping in price. Sell some now for $23 that were $106 this spring. Replacing carbs now instead of putting in kits at the shop. More carbs are suppposed to drop in price next year.
Hope quality is not going the same direction as the cost of carbs.

I understand Stihl bought Zama.
Reckon that has anything to do with it???

Zama USA makes no mention of it but that doesn't mean that it didn't happen.

I remember something about stihl buying zama in china a couple years ago too.

Art so are you saying I can buy carbs like the 066/660 carb for that low of cost ?
-
I recently bought a new twin needle carb for my 025 and it was $20 and change.
-
It's rather surprising that anything sold under the name of Stihl would drop in price .

Ed, can't say for sure on the 066 carb yet. We were told to expect carb prices to drop in the new year for many models. As for now the 230/250 carb dropped bigtime.

Just checked a 660 carb. Current price is $70.13

Art that still is a hell of a price compared to the high price they use to want

I've never priced them them but they tell me the itty bitty little Zama C1Q's used on the 200T's are around 90 bucks .Seems like lot for such a teeny carb .

There are 10 different carbs for the 200. 1st one in IPL retails for $69.70 up here.
