Title: Tag Rivets?
Post by: Legeance on August 30, 2016, 08:06:29 pm
You know the tag rivets that hold the tags onto the recoil and stuff. It has like a rounded head. How can I get those out and how can I like reattach the tag using those same rivets? I've got an S10 with the real old Stihl sign and want to restore the thing but I have no idea how to get the tags off.

I used new rivets that you could still buy new from stihl.   Never tried reusing them.

The 0000 974 1000 tag rivets are still available threw stihl. Just ordered some for the recoil badge on my 084.

Off subject

I have a bag full of those stihl cover metal grommets left over.  Never heard any call for those.

Sure know one tore the heck out of a poly flywheel turning 15K.  Thinking that was what it was, memory fuzzy on that right now.

Never needed any since.
