Made my last trip to the mountains and now it is time to get it bucked up and stacked.

No the splitter works plenty fast for me as is.    I caught my little finger once already between a piece of wood and the end plate.    It took a couple of months to get better.     So things are fast enough, but that was funny.

I am still lifting them by hand and will continue for as long as I can.   It is a lot of work and sweat.   But it is a hobby I really like so when your passionate about something you do not mind the effort that goes into it.    Plus I really like heating with wood.   Something about seeing the flames in the wood stove that just makes it feel homey during winter time.

Yes I hear you there I love gathering my wood my wife thinks I have an illness when I get a call from a friend telling me tree down or broken branch on so and so street I cant wait to get at it, and with the cost of wood 360 a ton and up, locally 18 kilogram bags of wood selling at service stations at 20 dollars a pop equates to about 50 cents a pound. Often get to a log to find local firewood guys grabbing it but happy to take what they don't want often 3 inch and under but sometimes I am lucky.
My wife says you have stacks already  but that wont last I say if I don't top it up. But she does love the warmth of a wood fire and I sell 2 or 3 trailer loads of wood to an older friend I make nothing really on it but it covers my chains and fuel for the saws for the year and saves him getting ripped off.
