I guess it had to happen. New load of 250's came in today. Made in China. :'( :'(

I have a new Stihl weed whacker power head that's made in China and I cannot determine any difference in it and the old USA one with them side by side. I bought it to install in a FS55R

The Chinese make a lot of chainsaws. There's certainly nothing about an MS250 that would be beyond their capability.
-
The durability of our Chinese made trimmers is not what the US or German made ones were. I just hope the chainsaws don't follow suit.

Interesting China made stihl MS250. Pics?
I thought you guys would be selling the MS251 now too like down here.

I will get a pic tomorrow. We have the 250, 251 and 251C. 250 is the only one on sale for the fall $449. Carb version of the 261 is in country but on hold waiting for CSA approval. I do not like the M tronic 261. Way too many issues this year.

Guy in Pa bought one of those NE Type II 261 carb versions. Looks sweet and very light for 3 cube.
250 on sale here. $299

Dealer in US says = In the US the ones that I have been getting from stihl to sell in my store ..... Most say made in USA with foreign and domestic parts ... That being said I am seeing chinese parts on most of the pro saws. That is why the piston / cylinder kits dropped about 50% and same thing on the 41401200619 carbs..... Looks like they did not learn anything from homelite ....
