Title: Poulan 260 220 brake handle fix
Post by: Cut4fun . on January 15, 2017, 01:27:44 pm
Being IPL dont show anything on the spring fix.   Chris Densmore from NS had to go at it blind to learn.   After he figured it out I ask him to post pics etc with info so we all could learn from this.

Per Chris - You just insert the spring all the way into the handle and then the tip of the spring that's sticking out fits right in the grove in the fixed spring on the cover. Tip of the spring makes contact with the linkage holding pressure.

First put the spring in like this ...all the way down

Line up the tip of the spring with the slot in the spring on the cover when you slide it together. And the linkage should be in the position so the brake is in gaged when you put the brake handle back on.

Put the small pin in first as you slide he handle on ...as it holds down on the fixed spring.

4 pics below he shared before through the fix position.
