Hi all,
I'm working on a Sachs 309 concrete saw. It was brought to me because he couldn't start it. Badly scored p&c (60 psi).
So, new cylinder kit installed. Starts and idles but won't rev. Tore carb down and ultrasonic cleaned and new kit. New fuel line and filter. No change. Pressure test carb inlet, pops at 12#. Pressure tested the crankcase and no seal or gasket leakage. Tank vent is working as it should. I have tore the carburetor apart at least 6 times in case I missed something (not my first carb rebuild).
The saw starts and idles as it should, but when you blip the throttle, it will almost die, then return to idle. If I bring the rpm up slowly, it will get up to half speed and die like it ran out of fuel. Also tried 3 new spark plugs. Spark tester shows spark until dead.
I have run out of ideas.

is the exhaust clear no blocked muffler screen

I think you still have a air leak somewhere. If not the crank seals then start looking at other places like the carb intake. Or maybe it could be the impulse is blocked or partially blocked. But sounds more like an air to me.
Also remember the coils on those are rev limited because the blades are not make for high rpm's.

Crankcase pressure tested ok. I used soapy water to test seals, intake and base gaskets. No screen in muffler and muffler is clear.
I think I have a parts saw in the shed. I'll have to see if the coil is the same and try that.
