I thought all the newer stihl 440 with flippy caps had decomps in top covers.
Since I dont know stihls well enough. Asking info as I dont believe this is right for saw being sold local.

All the 440s with flip caps I have seen all have a hole for the decomp. Does look nice with a no hole cover. Looks clean.
-
Wonder what the deal is then. Hmmmmmmmm clean but I just dont think it is right for saw. Wish I had more info but none returned.
-
Yes you are correct wrong cover for the saw. IPL only shows the shroud with the decomp hole.

Thanks for checking.
This one I missed local for $300 I was next in line.

So it appears from your pics Shep 440's with flippys did come without decomps too?
-
I wonder if some of the older ipls have both covers listed. Only cover I saw was with a decomp hole. I would rather have the no hole cover then one with hole. I always pull the decomp valves anyway. On less thing to worry about.

I've heard of them. How much they asking for that one?
