Best Rednecking. Things that make you laugh to yourself and shake your head. :P
-
This poor rednecked jonsered 2083. I dont even know how they got that muffler etc to even work. Cylinder cover fix and no air filter cover. JSMH ::)
-
WOW
-
Good idea he had.
-
Just seen this in the chainsaw repair group facebook.
When you own a older jonsereds and you can find the part. You make it yourself. Pretty neat.
-
Nice redneck recoil repair shown on CRG
-
Good idea he had.
I'll say, and now that I've seen it a similar mod is going on my Rancher.
I hate how it falls on it's side when I set it down. Around here during brown season a saw falling on it's side like that and then twisting around induced by the engines rotational torque can bunch dry kindling grass up against the muffler and start one of those wonderful 50 million dollar wildfires.
They sure are exciting.
-
Jonsered 2095 with husky 395 muffler.
Good rednecking
-
Another for a choke set up on a pioneer it looks like.
-
New one I just seen posted by a guy in the group.
-
New one today
-
Some of the pictures have me cracking up.
-
Story was it was posted on AS :o :D
-
Rednecked full wrap handle for poulan 5400 etc
-
Seen this in a small engine repair group.
= 15 bucks to replace a crracked PCV hose? Not when I can just coat it with flex seal!
-
That flex seal is not cheap either.
-
Good one posted yesterday. Redneck fix
Has video but cant link FB vids, here is pic
Using that for throttle. Linkage was missing.
-
Seen this posted today on CRG FB.
Need to get a pic of the pink one I got on a file.
-
Oh my a golf ball for a pull handle. Keeps me cracking up.
-
I have used them for this.
-
-
Does his toilet still work. Someone might be missing some plumbing.
-
New one for me. He said it worked too.
-
Another redneck fix saved this saw for guy on chainsaw repair group facebook.
Dont know if saved under right model # but is a older stihl.
-
::)
-
Somebody posted this fine linkage work on what looks like a 2 series.
-
Seen this a couple times now on CRG FB = The other night, I felled several trees between my truck and the road, and the sun was going down. Inexplicably. Saved by a litter bug!
-
This one really does fall in a best rednecking.
What some folks come up with. Was posted on FB group.
-
Posted this morning on his choke fix. Lego toy flag post he said been using for years.
-
Redmax 5300 a guy on CRG took in.
that was a first.
-
Guy said hit his bench yesterday.
2 new ones
-
Wonders never cease.
-
Wonders never cease.
You see the one before that back a page. ::)
-
Yep I look at all of them. Without a doubt they are good for a laugh.
-
Poulan 3500 from that stash
-
Guy was milling and broke off. Good enough to geter done.
-
That looks like band aids that have gone wrong.
-
UPDATE : The guy in UK with a poulan 3450 with chain brake cover etc. Never did find a muffler cover for it.
So he took a chance and ordered a 2 piece little poulan muffler from China for like $9 shipped.
He was able to make it work for his needs.
-
That is a better alternative.
-
Think he said 575 that came in. Fix worked and was used hard.
-
Newest T handle
-
Guy wanted to test his newly self ported saw out so bad. ;) But he was missing one thing so he did this.
I love it.
-
The least he could have done was to use a beer carton.
-
Local saw that was 20 but I wasnt going to do the roundtrip. Friend got it for 10.
I wonder why he did that, guessing last owners idea of tank vent
-
New one I seen on FB today.
-
echo
-
jonsereds

You know that pink piece looks like it could have come from a bicycle.
-

You know that pink piece looks like it could have come from a bicycle.
If I recall right the guy was a plumber and used copper pipe.

Ok that is copper colored and not pink. Got it.
-
Now thats the whole deal on one.
How can one think thats cheaper.
-
Maybe he knows someone in the plumbing business. With all that copper the handle is worth more than the saw.
-
Guy on CRG just got 2 free 268. Past owner told him he calls them glasspacks.
-
Lot of work for that fix
-
$40 husky 268 a guy picked up.
Redneck fix to get it by I reckon.
-
One I call rednecked and not thinking it through.
The other just wow. Work of art.
-
Thinking out of the box for a $5 part. Whatever floats your boat. Actually impressed.

-
That piece of PVC would cost as much as a plastic scabbard.
If you had some scraps, then not a bad idea.
-
Husky 266 choke and throttle
-
Some more I forgot to post.
Look close on small one.

Local said he has used a few of them.
-
I always just went to newer stype cap. But ole TW thinking out of the box.
-
I love this one. Came on a poulan 425 a guy bought on my FB group.
-
What the heck did that come from.
-
What the heck did that come from.
Thinking a flat pan like this.
-
I think I have seen it all now. I suppose it did work.
-
What the heck did that come from.
I'm amazed at what folks come up with to get by. Long as it works and safe.
-
Forgot to post this one. Was seen in a lot of saws for sale here.
If it works it works :P
-
Lot of work to save 2 bucks
-
Is that a nut welded to a bigger nut. I do not get it.
-
Is that a nut welded to a bigger nut. I do not get it.
What the guy said working on it. Appeared welded to a bigger nut.
-
Guy in Canada working on this saw that came in. = Never again will I utter the words “I’ve seen it all” 😳😳😳
-
Oh my I would not have believed it unless I had seen it.
-
I didnt think he was going to be able to save it. But he did. Thread on chainsaw repair group facebook
-
echo 500 redneck fix and guy still wants 250 ::)
-
Husqvarna 44
-
Husky 61
What ever works.
-
Wow. Just when you think you have seen it all. Never say never.
Maybe they did not sell duct tape where they were from.
-
Guy said this was his bosses fix
-
Trying to stop that leak.
-
Well I guess blown fuses have more than one use after all.
-
They want a almost new price for this stihl 291 Modified version
Hey whatever works for ya I guess.
-
Thats a new one. Guy got saw in like this.
-
The new removable chain brake for those who want a choice.
-
Better then nothing.
Then another one too.
Just put both in this post.
-
Guy selling couple PP415. I noticed the pull start on one. Rear handle fix too.
-
One of the mods in my group.
Project saw that has a broken master control mount.
Took a shut off clip, trimmed it and bent it then drilled a 2.5mm hole in it. Small bolt to secure it.
So far it seems sturdy enough.
-
Seen this one in FB group on saw that was FS
-
Same place on this one. :P Do what ya got to do I guess.
-
Getting ready to save these pics to my best and worst rednecking thread on my old website.
Guy in New Zealand bought a saw online.
Love the wire switch run on outside. Then the welded bar stud and then the flywheel. 🤦😂
-
I think that muffler up there needs a few more screws in it. After all we do not want that deflector falling off.
-
Works it works. :P
