Title: Dolmar labeled chain
Post by: Cut4fun . on November 14, 2017, 10:21:43 am
Dolmar labeled chain  on the sachs 116si was 3/8 thinking 050  64dl.  Had dolmar on chassis and 102 on drive links.  Try to figure out the maker. Guessing oregon or carlton. Reminded me of the safety oregon SL ramps.

Bar was 64 DL measured 17" from case out to tip - laminated bar with sach dolmar on it. Looked like a as sold set up when new.

Sorry no close pics as shipped already.

Couldn't find Dolmar 102 chain. Put in a request to Dolmar. This chart has some Dolmar numbers but no 102.

Contacted Dolmar about the Dolmar chain with 102  stamped on the chain.
"The 102 Dolmar chain is made for us by Oregon Saw Chain and their current equivalent chain is their 72V. This chain is 3/8 pitch and .050 gauge. "

Asked about   some kind of cross reference chart to their chain but no luck.

So much for contacting Dolmar. That sure isn't  Oregon 72v chain. Couldn't even find chain info on Dolmar's website.

You said equivalent to the 72v now.  So they might have been right.  The ole SG was prob considered like the V today.
