Building a circ saw out of a 5000 partner. Have the blade on now.

The blade is on backwards?
-
Yes, if it was on an electric circ.
I would have to run the chainsaw backward if I turn it around. This is the only way it will work on a chainsaw.
-
After thinking about it, I see what you mean.
I guess you will have to pull with it?
-
Going to be mounted solid on my chainsaw mill carriage making it an edger. ;)
-
It should work well
-
Time to confess, I am just making a degree wheel to check the #'s on the 5000.
-
:D
I have seen a 500 or 5000 concrete saw in the past.
-
I think most saw blades aren't recommended to rotate more than 7000rpm.
Just wondering how fast you you might be planning on turning that one? ;)

Art will you do me a favor and see if the worm gear on the 242 246 254 is the same worm gear on the partner 5000+.
I found the oem husqvarna worm gear remover for $16 and shipping for the 242 246 254 etc. So just wondering if it might work on the 5000 worm gear too.
says fits

Are we talking the brass oil gear? The newer Huskys ran plastic gear once they went to the no oil at idle setup.
-
Yes the metal gear that is pressed on the crank.
