Title: remove & replace Husky 371 crank bearings
Post by: oldfarmer on February 07, 2018, 09:45:55 am
I have a Husqvarna 371XP that I need to remove & replace the crank bearings.  Does anyone know how to remove them without special tools? Is there a youtube video someplace?  I really loved this saw for cutting tops for firewood and need to get her back in service.
  Thanks

I always did my 372 365 without special tools.  Slit case remove crank and bearing.   Use oven to heat cases and freeze bearing to drop back in easiest way.   Low heat cant recall off hand degree. but is here somewhere.

Thanks, if you can remember  how hot and how long to heat the crankcases that would be helpful.

275-300° works great.
