I really could not tell you Stubnail.   I know I have one in the yellow color so it has a chrome bore in it.    I would have to look at it to see if there is anything on it to indicate when it was made.

That wood shark is nice does it say anywhere when it was made.

well i know now they were introduced in 1982... but do not know when they discontinued them...this saw has limiters on it i was shocked to see those.....and the sticker has it as 38 cc but the box says 2.1 it should be 33 ccs but i know poulan would use the same engine in different saws.... im not surprised on that....i have a stihl 009 thats got an 009l engine....from the factory when i bought it... the tech pointed the displacement out...

I bought my new 2000 in 1994 if I recall right. Seen them for sale for a couple years after that. But then lost track.

Looking at this old thread. Poulan build dates. Shows the 1800 through 1996. Just open the link.  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/poulan/date-these-poulans/msg10895/#msg10895

I bought (and still have) my first saw. A micro XXV deluxe 33cc new in Nov 1980. I think that version were 1976--82. Other Micro family units production I guess went much longer...By 95 plastic 2150 were in full swing...
Title: The Poulan Micros-a great saw.
Post by: trappermike on January 14, 2019, 10:03:10 am
I saw multitudes of the Poulan Micros working in shops, they were also sold under other brand names of hardware stores etc. in all kinds of colors, but one thing was common to all of them, they ran really well after a normal tune-up,and they just won't die! You can find them for next to nothing or free, spend an hour on it and they run really strong and reliable, most of us mechanics kept a free one to use at home or camping. They really had no problems. One thing to check when tuning one up is to remove the housing under the carb and "fix" the reed valve,It will be slightly bent open and not sealing from years of running, merely flip it over and it will seal tightly again and run great.
When you set the carb on it running you will have the carb cover off,but when you tighten the cover down after the engine will run much richer and have to reset it again, so set the mixture, then just hold the carb cover down tightly and try it,to adjust again just lift the cover off and reset it,hold the cover and check, when it's set right then bolt the cover down.
One of the simplest best mini saws ever made.

Like I needed more micro parts 😳. Price was right though when local member dropped off while picking up a saw 😎👍.  But on the shelf they will go.
He said grey one was runner just pulled carb off for a different one.
Need something just PM.  I only take payments in paypal friends family, USPS money order or cash now.   Just saying no to new tax law. 😉

I pulled a micro tank from the bin other day for a guy and shipped it. We got talking and turns out he likes to restore the top handles in the older countervibe and newer micro poulans.
I was like do I have a deal for you. I know 2 of the ones I had been through in years past that had come back in this lot.

But anyhow I packed 5 micros and 1 S25CVA that had front and rear handle av's and shipped to him.
This has been my biggest and heaviest box to date with those 6 little saws and 3 bars and 3 chains. Was 60lbs total.

Plus side I got a whole shelf back now.

Cost more to ship then saws did.

Dont know if buyer is here but he said 3 started with mix. 2 I knew, wonder which on the 3rd.
