Title: Husqvarna 136
Post by: tmv on July 08, 2018, 08:14:35 am
The problem is I can't open or tighten screw under oil cap. It just keeps rolling. There is some metallic object with groove attached to screw which rolls within the screw. I guess i should hold the object to stop it rolling, but how? Is there some specific tool to hold on this object or maybe some simpler solution?

Heres gif image of the situation:

husqvarna 136 141 IPL  http://s30387.gridserver.com/partsDiagrams/Husqvarna%20136.pdf

I just sent 3 these off so cant look at one for ya. I dont remember any problems pulling apart though.

Dont think any thing is there on that side just rubber. The other side comes apart though if you look at IPL above.  Not 100% sure so look at other side.

It is used chainsaw so I don't know the full story of it how this screw is stuck on. But yes I understand also that there should be not this kind of problem.

I think the screw in the is attached to journal-right (or left) in the chain brake assembly pic. Anyway I think there must be threads on this journal.

It is a very narrow place to hold on with tongs while turning screw. So maybe I should just look from local hardware store proper tongs or minimal hook spanner, if there is.

Finally got the screw open. I have to loose the handle to get better access to that rubber item. Bad threads in there.
