Post by: chris54 on February 01, 2012, 04:35:58 am
I'm thinking of getting a tachometer       http://www.amickssuperstore.com/DTI_2_Cycle_Two_Stroke_Tachometer_Tach_p/dti%20tech-tach%20tt-20k%20tach.htm        is this a good one and is it really a needed tool ..... are there any other brands worth considering?..........Chris.........

I like to tune by ear and then check with tach. I have been way off before when going for max rpm's for gtg racing instead of the rich fat 4 stroking and cleaning up in cut for firewood cutting method.

Here is a tach thread I did  http://chainsawrepair.createaforum.com/ported-saws/chainsaw-tachometer-choices/
