I have a ms170 chainsaw it’s about 3years old now i have a issue with it I have been to dealer and they said could be the clutch we’ll what happens is I release the brake to check the rotation of chain and that’s fine but when I start it up the chain seems not want to move but couple of revs and it will move a bit I been told clutch issues so I looking for a service manual so can do the clutch myself as they want £80 to service it ? Any ideas guys
Many thanks

Be careful on these. Rods bend easy if you try and use the wrong style of piston stop. Just stamped out it appears. Not very well built saws.
Should be able to use air and socket and take clutch right off. Cant recall myself.

@Cut4fun .
Use the 017 018 service manual for the 017,018, 170 and 180 saws. Also use the TI intro bulletin along with the service manual when working on the 170 and 180 saws. Link also has the ipls
