Title: Stihl HS45 Hedge trimmer

This is not chainsaw related but Stihl related. I have a HS45 hedge trimmer that lost it spark. I have tried 3 aftermarket coils, they don't work.They will throw a nice spark, but the timing is off. It backfires through the carb. I pitched the original coil and didn't get the actual Stihl part number from it. I have found that there were 2 different coils made for this model. I don't know which one I need. Can anyone help with the correct part number? The trimmer is about 8 years old? I'm about to pitch the damned thing and trim my shrubs by hand, or break out my 044 and cut the sob's down.

What is your serial number of the HS 45? There were 3 different versions of the ignition module and other changes.

Not sure which of these are the serial number, but the tag says 4228-011-2909 then below that are 800 284 463 Made in China by Stihl. I appreciate the help.
