Title: Echo CS-450
Post by: DB_43725 on February 06, 2012, 06:28:12 pm
Well it seems echo dont want the average person pulling off mufflers,,,LOL  The one I just picked up has tamper proof hex headed bolts holding on the muffler. Took me a trip to the hardware store but I came up with a set of extra long hex with a hole in the middle to remove them. As you back out the bolts the little post in the middle retracts back into the bolt hex head. I had a short set but since they set deep down in the muffler ya cant put a socket on those as the socket wont fit. First saw I run into that has these, was just wondering if this is comen.

I will try, it may be a day or 2 as to show that post in the bolt head I will need a nut to fit it so the post will come back out. I fig its some metric thread.
