Title: Craftsman 3.7 or poulan carburetor
Post by: The Ripper on September 18, 2021, 02:16:39 pm
been through this carb trying to fix the flooding issues after a few minutes of running. Can't find any info on adjusting fuel metering lever. Locating a used  carb or new one is a big challenge if not impossible. Someone else was inside this carb when I bought it.

Accidentally posted this question somewhere else but on my 3.7  the carb in constantly flooding the engine out and I've been
through the carb numerous times looking for the cause with no luck. Adjusted the level metering rod flush with casting but
didn't fix the problem. Anybody have a fix for this or do i need to search for another carb or just can this build altogether?
Wife keeps suggesting buy a modern saw with the headaches ::)

No clue came in as a builder and I parted it instead, due to coil.

Went back through the carb a few times and so far its working for now. Waiting for chain to arrive then I'll test it cutting and if floods, then I'll sell it. Thanks for responding.

Cut4Fun, In the post above you indicated that you have a carb off of a Poulan 3700. I have a Crafsman3.7 that I am trying to resurrect and I believe that it uses  the same carb. Walbro HDB 8C. Do you still that carb for sale? Rebuilt the one that I have but can't get it to draw gas from the tank, new fuel line, fuel filter. If I drip gas into the carb it fires up and runs strong then dies. Can't figure it out.  Interested  in buying the carb you have. Thanks

@pmeyers same carbs. Already sold that carb in pics below.

Others I have are on running saws I am selling.

But if I get a parts saw in I will let you know.
