Title: 2065 clutch
Post by: tadworth on April 02, 2012, 05:36:12 pm
Any one know if these can be tightened up,  or do i need to replace parts ?

The chain is getting bogged down on quite small cuts now.

No adjustment. You will need a new clutch. http://s30387.gridserver.com/partsDiagrams/Jonsered%202065.pdf

Just wondering, what leads you to believe it is the clutches fault for bogging down in the small cuts?

Just in case it takes 3 if shoes good.  http://northwoodsaw.com/store/index.php?l=product_detail&p=938

The chain is stopped but the engine is buzzing away fine, must be the clutch ?

it's a powerfull saw, with a shorter than standard bar on it, and the chain was recently re ground.

Check and replace clutch drum at same time IMO. I have received them worn with big groove.

Check rim sprocket for being   wore in to.

Check the clutch drum where the rim slides  on.

Check the drive links on a wore out chain.

Just other things that could be causing the whole problem.
