Are mac 1-41 saws any good? The saw was given to me and before I put any time and money in to it I wanted to see what you guys thought about them.  Thanks for your time and help.

It's basically an earlier version of the 250 .As such it has a lot of lugging power but it isn't something that can run with a modern saw. They don't do bad though considering the age .

For a firewooder they'll still get-er-done .A tad heavy but the thing like most McCullochs will run almost forever .Now were it I,I won't dump a bunch of money in it .Maybe a carb kit ,a few parts .

Thanks for your help. I was thinking the same put a couple of bucks in it. I have never seen or heard one run. It should be fun to fix.
