Title: Poulan 3800
Post by: farmboy on June 04, 2012, 01:05:37 pm
Picked up a Very Very nice 3800 yesterday. http://www.ebay.com/itm/180897764313?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Guy says comp. a little low but no scoring etc. through ex. port.  Are rings going to be hard to find?  Jacks shows them but that doesn't mean they have em.  Caber doesn't show them.

Don't sweat those rings until after you run it for awhile.
They were pretty low when brand new.
120-130 is normal for them, they still run good down to 100 or so.
Deleting the base gasket is the quickest and easiest way to bump the compression.
