That is actually Poulan made.  Don't know much about them, other than that they were well built (for a consumer electric saw).  A couple came into the shop when I was at Sears.  Cord replacements (due to abuse).  I like that they have two bar studs.  That one is late 1980's manufacture.  I've seen the same saws in Poulan green and Craftsman red.

I have one.  Actually, I have two!  Bought mine around 1988/89; came with the earlier version of the PowerSharp system (knob on right side of the handle).  A neighbor bought a similar one recently at a garage sale, and (somehow) it ended up in my garage! That one originally came equipped with a low kickback 'banana bar'.  Was/is a fine saw. I used it to cut up several full cords of slab oak I bought when we got a wood stove insert for our fireplace. I just stopped using it much once I got slightly more powerful Makita and Oregon corded saws.  Should be fine for the use described.

I have a paper manual for it - could not find a PDF on line, but if you want one, I can scan it for you.  Attached is the IPL, although, most parts aside from the bar and chain are probably NLA from Sears.

Thought that you had already bought it!  I was pretty impressed with that new corded Oregon saw if you are considering a new one.
