Thinking about taking one in on trade. echo cs-670

Anyone with info running one etc?

 Decent firewood cutting saw?

What bar length will it pull comfortably in hardwoods with 3/8?

How hard they on parts and is it hard to get parts. I  know the 8000 parts are  :o expensive.  So figuring this might hold over to the 670 too.

Current model is the 680  66.8cc 20", 24", & 28" bars

There's a Echo dealer between you and Bucyrus and another on 42 North edge of Mansfield.

The only bigger current model is the 8000

I have a older 50cc clamshell Echo and for that type of engine, it is made really well. Runs right along with the 52 cc Dolmars.

I have a Echo 670 and a 044 Stihl, so close in cutting speed I can't tell, on a good scale the Echo is over 1/2# lighter.  The 044 revs higher but the 670 has more balls.  Steve

Man that all sounds good. I told him to send it so I could give it a look over. Thanks for input.

Is there any  difference in 6700 v/s 670 like updates etc.

Had the 044 and 670 out yesterday, the 044 was faster by 1/2 second in a 10 second cut.  I think the lastest cylinder has a little better porting, most likely room to raise the exhaust port on Echo saws. On a 6700  the newer cylinder needs to have the 670 intake setup as the intake is different.  Steve

When ever this 670 or 6700 arrives I hope you dont mind if I pick your brain with my newbie to this saw questions.

I was just over on Bailys website, new CS680 P@C   $100  That should fit any 670 and a 6700 with a 670 intake.   Steve

Still isnt here but I was told it has 6700 on it and is grey.

Do you know if all the mufflers in series will fit?  Was told it needs muffler replaced. So was wondering if 6700 and 670 mufflers are the same.
