Actualy some of the Echo stuff works pretty good .I have a couple of hedge clippers and an Echo weed wacker .The wacker does better than a Stihl of the same size  displacement .

Funny story on the wacker which I got at a garage sale .The man couldn't keep it running and it nearly new .Tear in the fuel line which I had running in five minutes and cut some weeds for him .I remarked after that fix he probabley didn't want to sell it .He said it's okay and dropped the price to 25 bucks just for the lesson on small engines . ;D

I just had a mini tiller dropped off.  Guy on phone told me echo, when I seen it not.

Somebody in the past had his degree in redneck engineering too.  Pics to come later.

My Echo tiller has the power head mounted by the snout just like the rotor tillers you had.

Rednecked mini tiller. I really like the 90 degree exhaust outlet idea.

Any clue what cc the homelite trimmer is?

That style is either a 25cc or a 30cc

30cc is not so common but I was thinking we decided it was a 30?

Does it have a clutch? My experience with homelite is 25cc direct, 30cc clutch

Well looks like I am looking for another motor for the one on the right. The laminated cranks just cant take real garden weeding work between rows.  It quit and then rattle when try to restart. Finally locked when a part moved just right.  ;D

If you got a trimmer motor you think will work let me know.   I have a few listed from before.

Thanks Jim for the delivery of Mac and Ryobi trimmers.   The one Mac you seen get to run that I said I could redneck to work was a failure. I ended up ruining the recoil shortening it up as far as I needed to reach the tiller shaft. strike 1
So I dig back in the Ryobi PH that had broken recoil. Another no go after removal. The whole bottom end is totally different then the Ryobi tiller motor one.  Couldnt believe that one.  So went to try and do a switch and got all but 1 seized bolt out.
Time to walk away and come back later.

Thanks again and enjoyed the small talk.
