Request for IPL &/ or service manual for Homelite XL-1

Neighbor asked me to look at his old Homelite XL-1 Automatic.
I'm reluctant to tear it down without an IPL.  A service manual would also be helpful.
The tag on the saw is as follows:
     Homelite-Terry
     Textron
     Pointe Claire, Quebec
     UT 50125   Serial T80 06098

Can anyone provide a source for an IPL or service manual?
